Between Tides: A Note from Eden

Hello Reader,

September brought something special — the release of Tides of Reckoning, Book 2 in the Tides series — and I’ve been so grateful for your notes, reviews, and quiet moments shared about the story. I worried it might feel like a “bridge book,” but you’ve reminded me that middle stories can be some of the most powerful… especially when the stakes are rising and the heart of a heroine like Izzy is on the line.

As I step back from the world of storms and salt air, I’m letting new stories bloom — but more on that in a moment. First, a quick breath to honor the tide we just came through together.

Still Riding the Waves — Tides Book 2

If you haven’t yet read Tides of Reckoning, consider this your seaswept invitation. This book takes Izzy deeper into the undercurrents of love, loyalty, and legacy — and asks her to reckon with the choices that brought her this far. She’s grown from a girl who barely trusted her own heart to a woman who risks everything to protect it.

(And if you’re waiting for Book 3… just wait. Izzy hasn’t faced her biggest storm yet.)

A Glimpse at December:

The Krampus Contract

A fallen angel fighting corporate injustice. A Christmas demon drowning in five centuries of neglect. One case that could save them both.

When Gabriella Wright investigates Yuletide Inc., she discovers Krampus herself: exhausted, overworked, and too proud to ask for help. Ingrid North has punished naughty children for five centuries alone. She doesn't need some brilliant lawyer fixing everything.

But when Yuletide Inc. threatens to eliminate Behavioral Correction entirely, they must fight together or lose everything. Between December chaos and an impossible deadline, falling in love wasn't the plan.

Can they save each other before corporate greed destroys Christmas... and their chance at redemption?

May your October be full of stories that haunt you in the best way—whether they wear cutlesses or chains.

I’ll be back soon with preorder news and a sneak peek from The Krampus Contract. Until then: light the cinnamon candle. Pet the cat. Read the kiss. And enjoy the peak of spooky season.

All my best,
Eden

Hello Reader, Here’s a confession: Tides of Captivation only exists because I made a joke.I know... But it's true... I’d finished For Love and Liberty (though I hadn’t worked up the nerve to publish it yet), and I was turning over ideas for what might come next—something I could write and market consistently, while living aboard a sailboat in the Florida Keys. One day, in the middle of all this wondering, I looked at my husband and said:“What am I going to do, write pirate stories?” The...

From Eden's Desk HeyReader, Just a quick note today — starting next month, I’ll be sending this newsletter once a month, on the 1st. You’ll also hear from me on release days, so nothing important will slip past you. Like a lot of folks in the LGBTQIA+ and autistic communities right now, my mental health has been stretched thin. I’m doing what I can to protect the small spark I have — and that means pulling back from some things to keep creating the things that matter most. Which brings me to...

A dramatic scene depicting two women in profile facing each other against a dark, moody background. Both wear tricorn hats and historic-style clothing. The woman on the left is dressed in a red coat with white frills, while the woman on the right wears a

Eden’s Desk Hello Reader,! Somehow, we made it to February. I swear, January lasted at least three years—and February is already looking like it’s following in its footsteps. But despite time playing tricks on me, I’ve been keeping busy with writing and plotting. I’ve been deep in planning mode for Tides of Reckoning, and I’m so excited about where this story is heading! There’s something about diving into the tangled webs of pirate alliances, betrayals, and sapphic romance that feels like...
